1.Introduction
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the AltaEdge Developments website and any services provided by AltaEdge Developments ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
2.Our Services
AltaEdge Developments provides home renovation, refurbishment, and construction services including kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, full property refurbishments, home extensions, garden transformations, decking and fencing installation, and general home improvements. All services are provided across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and the wider Scotland region.
3.Quotations
All quotations provided by AltaEdge Developments are free of charge and without obligation. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are based on the information provided at the time of assessment and may be subject to change if the scope of work changes or unforeseen circumstances arise during the project.
4.Contracts and Agreements
Before commencing any work, AltaEdge Developments will provide a written contract outlining the scope of work, timeline, materials to be used, and total cost. No work will begin until a contract has been signed by both parties. Changes to the agreed scope of work must be agreed in writing by both parties and may result in additional charges.
5.Payments
Payment terms will be outlined in your individual contract. Typically, a deposit is required before work commences, with staged payments throughout the project and a final balance upon completion. Failure to make payments on time may result in work being paused until outstanding amounts are settled. We accept bank transfer and other methods as agreed.
6.Workmanship and Materials
AltaEdge Developments is committed to the highest standards of workmanship. All work is carried out by qualified and experienced tradespeople. Materials used will be of suitable quality for the intended purpose unless alternative materials are specified and agreed by the client. Any defects in workmanship arising within 12 months of project completion will be rectified at no additional cost, provided the issue is not caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference.
7.Insurance
AltaEdge Developments holds valid public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. Copies of our insurance certificates are available upon request. While every care is taken, we recommend clients ensure their own home insurance remains in force throughout the renovation period.
8.Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring that access to the property is available as agreed. Any delays caused by the client's failure to provide access or make timely decisions may result in additional charges. Clients should ensure that all valuable items are removed from work areas prior to commencement of works.
9.Cancellation
Should a client wish to cancel a project, written notice must be provided. If work has already commenced, payment will be due for all work completed and materials ordered or purchased to date. AltaEdge Developments reserves the right to cancel or suspend work in the event of non-payment or unsafe working conditions.
10.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AltaEdge Developments' liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services shall be limited to the total value of the contract for the relevant project. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses.
11.Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
12.Changes to These Terms
AltaEdge Developments reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
